Congratulations to Law for Change co-founder, Stephen Kinsella, who has won a Legal Heroes Award 2024

The Law Society’s Legal Heroes was created to recognise ‘‘the remarkable contributions of solicitors whose work has transcended the bounds of their profession’’ and made ‘‘a lasting impact’’ on the lives of others and society, and this year out of 470 nominees, Law for Change co-founder, Stephen Kinsella, was one of just five acknowledged as an ‘‘unsung legal hero’’.

Stephen was recognised for his ‘‘exceptional contributions to legal practice and social justice’’, which he largely attributes to his work at Law for Change. Through this award, the Law Society has publicly recognised the ‘transformative initiative’ that is Law for Change and the dedicated work of Stephen to lead this fund in addressing societal harms and promoting social progress through strategic legal action and philanthropy.

The Law Society have kindly described Stephen’s work at Law for Change as ‘‘a beacon of hope for many, proving that legal expertise and compassion can affect real change’’.
